چکیده
Thirteen betelvine cultivars (PB 001 to PB 013) collected from different locations of Bangladesh showed remarkable variations in disease reaction foot and root rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii. The lowest incubation period 8 days was required for the 005 (BARI line), 006 (Misti pan), 009 Pan-1) 010 (Bangla pan) highest 22 (Laldingi 013 (Gayasur appearance 1st symptoms. incidence ranged 8.33 100% at 30 after inoculation. recorded while 002, 003 (Chalitaguti 004 (Sanchi 005, 007, 008, Pan-1), 012 (Bhabna followed 011 (Jhal pan). Sclerotium rot was found on Cymbidium orchids at Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea, in July, 2010. Symptoms occurred on low leaves, which turned yellowish, after which the entire plant wilted. Severely infected plants were blighted and eventually died. White mycelial mats and sclerotia appeared on pseudobulbs. Based on the mycological characteristics and pathogenicity, the causal fungus was i...

The initial symptom of the disease was water-soaked, which progressed to rotting, wilting, blighting, and eventually death. Further, mycelial mats spread over the lesions near the soil line, and sclerotia formed on the sca...

Twenty-two isolates of Sclerotium rolfsii causing spotted leaf rot from Varanasi, India were grown on 6% Cyperus rotundus rhizome meal agar (CRMA) medium for the induction of athelial stage (Athelia rolfsii). Only one isolate obtained from Sphaeranthus indicus formed basidial stage on CRMA medium while the other 21 isolates did not. Basidial stage was also produced in S. indicus isolate at diff...
